Montserrat Monsatery

Rising dramatically from serrated mountains, Montserrat Monastery is one of Catalonia’s most iconic sites. The sanctuary is both a spiritual center and a vantage point with breathtaking views.

Visitors enjoy not only the monastery itself but also hiking trails, art collections, and local products such as the famous Montserrat liqueurs and cheeses.

Visiting Montserrat Monastery takes around 5 and a half hours from pick up to drop off.
This includes doing several things on the visit which apart from visiting the Basilica and the Virgin's Chamber. There are several very beautiful paths which can be done, from very easy to not so much. The monastery also has a fantastic museum with very important art from artists like El Greco, Caravaggio, Dalí, Miro, Le Corbusier and many more.
We sometimes combine this tour with a lunch at a traditional Catalan restaurant in a little town nearby and often visit a boutique vineyard which offers a guided tour and tasting of their very exclusive sparkling wine.
Add 2 hours for lunch and calculate 8 to 9 hours if we include lunch and the visit to the bodega.
